We were due to check out today but before leaving I drove to the office to check if they had any walk in sites.... They had just had a cancellation, then she asked how long have you been here? I said I think sixteen days which was the time we had been on our present site. To that she said I have to have my supervisors permission to extend beyond fourteen days. Just then he walked in and when she asked he nodded his head yes. As I was signing the credit card receipt the radio crackled "there is someone on site 46, they must have come in overnight" She replied "that site is taken they will have to come to the office" Talk about luck! Might have to hit the Casino sometime today. Parade tonight, more beads.
Last night we went to the waterfront to the Verizon Super Bowl Boulevard at the end of Canal Street.
There were three different stages with bands playing, food vendors and tents set up by BASF, GM, Verizon and many other corporations. The kickoff was the arrival of the Superbowl number on a barge with music playing and fireworks. Once it passed the crowd a barge across the river started a fireworks display that was as good as the 4th in Boston. All I can say is these people know how to throw a party.
